Uchino bayonetted the prisoner - called out of line by Nomura and given orders to lunch by Yabe. The prisoner had already been bayoneted by Pte Tanaka then by Uchino. The victim is alleged to be still breathing after the first stabbing.

Initially sentenced to 10 years, mitigated to 5 years
