Miss Kathleen Butler engaged

Miss Butler, private secretary to
Dr. J. J. C. Bradfield, designer of
the Sydney Harbour Bridge, is
engaged to be married. Her hus-
band-to-be is Mr. Maurice Hag-
arty, of Strathlea Station, Queens-
land, son of the late Mr. D. Hag-
arty and of Mrs. J. Hagarty, of
Toulby Station, Brewarrina,
N.S.W. Miss Butler's parents re-
side at Mount Victoria. Miss But-
ler's work won for her high enco-
miums during the tendering for
the construction of the bridge.
She went to London and super-
vised the opening of an office at
Westminster, in which bridge
business in England was dealt
with.
